Today was a long awaited moment for both Connor and I. Nearly 4 years ago Connor was put into his braces. It was an arduous process where we had to turn a key in the roof of his mouth every night to expand his jaw. I can't say that we weren't very good at it or super diligent, so that process took much longer than it needed to.
We had lots of broken brackets and lectures on teeth brushing over that next four years, along with nearly two years of elastics that are now found in every corning and crack of the house.
Poor Connor, that midline would never line up so our end date kept getting pushed back.
Connor decided that he liked how he looked in braces and never wanted them off.
I have to admit that I love him in his braces.
What took hours to put on only took minutes to snap off.
After pulling off the wires, releasing the elastics, popping off the brackets and scraping away he glue, Connor was metal free at last.
Can you see bit of a happy smile there.
Proof that the Midline is perfect . Those gums are a little sore.
Can you stretch that a little wider Connor.
What a great smile!
I think that we might both be missing those shinny braces.
After 8 pairs of braces and twenty years of visits we are done!
Keith did say that it is his turn now, so maybe not.
