Family Fun in San Clemente: July 2014

When is the fun going to start?
Connor bored, Jarrett excited as we wait for our Medieval Knights Dinner.
 Riley, contemplative.
Shaun and Kaitlynne happy to be together.
Everyone liked eating with their hands. All those years of teaching them table manners ruined!
 The food was great!
Our Blue Knight threw a flower to Jenna!
She blew him a kiss back.
The house was perfect for our family.
It had everything we needed including a grand piano for Jenna.

It was fun to hear her play everything from the Pirates of the Caribbean to Pride and Prejudice

Shaun and Kaitlynne are busy making lunch; Chicken Croissants
Here are the guys doing what they love best: playing the paper game they created. Connor is loving it!

Just pulled into our beach house.  Riley and Jenna are feeling the SoCal feeling.
I think that we all wanted to up and move at that point.

Jenna still can't resist climbing a tree

Up she goes!

Almost there.

She made it!

I think that she is going to hang out and hang loose for awhile.

What a view!

Two Beach Buddies ready to Boogie Board the San Clemente Pier.

On their way.

Almost there.

Bright and early every morning, while the rest of us slept,  Jenna, Keith, Kaitlynne and Shaun  surfed the T Street waves.
Jenna looks too cute in her wet suit still a little sleepy eyed at 7:00 am.
She is not a morning girl.

Riley and I ready for our bike ride.

Relaxing, Eating, Playing and having fun together.

With costco three minutes away, we were never hungry.

I think that Jones ( Jarrett ) is dead!

Jenna enjoying the view from our balcony.  The best view is Jenna.

The Mills Family line up waiting for our Medieval Feast.

Jenna has finally found her Knight in shinning armor.

Shaun and Kaitlynne were the cutest King and Queen of  the realm.
They are sure to live happily ever after.
While walking the pier we can across a fisherman who had pulled up something more than a fish.
This little Manta Ray was doing its best to get off the pier and into the water.

After painfully pulling out the hook that was in the corner of his smiling mouth the fisherman pushed him under the rail and over the edge being cautious of the stinger on the back of the rays tail.

The Manta Ray fell quite a distance until it hit the water.  For a while it laid stunned on its back.  Finally it began flapping until it flipped over and swam away under the pier happy to be alive and with a story to tell.
Beautiful Sunset in San Clemente

Mother, Daughter Spa Night.

No vacation is complete without a visit or two to Costco for Ice Cream, Pizza and Hot Dogs.

Amazingly enough we visited the Mecca of Costco, its first location.

Old Town San Diego
Here Jarret and Connor take a break after a day at  Laguna Beach.

Riley couldn't be more comfortable!

This is the Place!  We all love San Diego.
Future pioneers.
 Mormon Battalion Museum.

Posing for our picture.
With Connor standing above the rest.
The Happy Couple doing domestic chore
Here Shaun is demonstrating  how he washed his clothes in Brazil.
If Shaun and Kaitlynne's washing machine ever breaks down, we know who will be washing the clothes.
Riley at the well.

We loved the short walk from our house to the beach down this quaint lane.

Personal Paper Game for Connor.

Riley spent a great deal of time working on his "Secret Project."
We are still not sure what he was doing?
He said that it was PHD preparation.

Our San Clemente Home at Night.
Shaun's new car is also in our drive way.  He and Kaitlynne bought it just that day!
Keith and I had the upstairs front room with a library, walk in shower and huge hot tub, along with a balcony to ourselves.
Shaun and Kaitlynne had the back room with the view of the garden,.
The rest of the family slept downstairs.

We are on our way to watch the 4th of July Fireworks of the Pier.

Jenna loving the SoCal life!
San Clemente Coastline.
